Crazy sill fun

Yet another installment of

CrinkleChristmas!

Can you believe it?  Two days to go till Christmas.  Presents are under the tree and a few left to wrap.  Pies baking in the oven.  Silly and crazy nights with beloved friends (last night).  To all of you out there in bloggersville:

I wish you a very EXTREMELY Joyous Christmas (or Holiday... depending on what you celebrate ;P)

Hark see the red

Session Four of

CrinkleChristmas!

Yet another great day leading to Christmas.  My husband is ever so kind to his crazy wife, every Christmas he takes me to the department stores and lets me wonder around taking in all the Christmas sights.  This year sadly there was nothing to see.  I walked into the store hoping to take in the wonder and glitter that cover's this season and it was all but gone.  There was one and a half aisles of  misplaced Christmas items.  There were three stockings, not stocking holders, less then a dozen individual ornaments.  I went to another store and they had one shelf left all Clearanced...

I guess it is a good thing I don't need anything last minute for Christmas!

All the same it is yet another great day for celebrating Christmas.

Deck the malls with boughs of holly

Yet another day brings us closer to the hustle of Christmas.  I love walking into a decked out mall just a few days before Christmas.  Seeing all the people roam about, Christmas music over head and a Santa Clause, in an odd and slightly creepy tradition, have lines of children sit on his lap.

So I challenge you to take a moment and enjoy the season in whatever, probably less crazy, way you would like but for now you can enjoy another installment of

CrinkleChristmas!

"No, Aunt Bethany, those are the Christmas lights."

My second installment of

CrinkleChristmas!

And on it will go.  At this point in the month I so desperately want to do Christmas-y things but I have done most all of them.  I start watching all the Christmas movies as soon as December starts.  Decorations are up and beautiful before December has come.  Then I start a baking rampage... Never has so much flour been used in one month and it is never enough.  I can never have too many cookies, though I don't like to eat the (I know I am insane, but it is the only dessert I don't like... that and wedding cake but no body really likes wedding cake), I can never bake to many pies (eating too many is a whole other story).

Keep me informed of other Christmas traditions I should have or actives I have missed.

And yes, apparently I am in a lot of pain?

"I always wanted to be a kid"

No matter your opinion of the Holiday you have to admit the season in upon us!  And with that I took on a challenge.  From now till Christmas I will be wearing Christmas apparel.  No, I do not have my 25 Shirts of Christmas, though I am jealous of you Mrs. Ladd, but I will be wearing thing that are festive and make me feel in the season and all that.  Here is today's and the first installment of
Crinkley Christmas!

Mood Sweater

Do you ever get in a particular mood because of clothes?  Maybe it is the High School actress in me but when I put on clothes I almost become a character.  In this particular outfit I felt like old country money.  You know deep georgia accent and a girl who knows here way round a plot of land and horses.  None of these things are true about me but I couldn't help but try my best at a southern accent on occasion, so we all know: I am terrible at "southern".  Chris turned to me and asked, "I'm sorry but what is THAT supposed to be?"  I couldn't help but face the truth once more: I cannot do a southern accent if my life depended on it, only enough since I have been south of the Mason Dixon line for a great portion of my life.

Oh well, I will have to give up my dreams of ever being a fully rounded actress capable of so many different accents.

An average Wednesday?

An average day... you know taking your sister's engagement photos.  Happens all the time right?

Obvious by the photos I was super happy be the one they chose to capture those moments.

Insert Movie Montage Here

So I love fall, all things cold and brisk.  I have shared this many times and I will continue to share, trying to convince and just share the love of fall and winter.  It may be the build up to Christmas... yes, I REALLY love Christmas.  I don't love the commercialism, no the sometimes whining kids, no the extra bills that come around.  But swell of memories that swirl through my brain with each scent.  Pulling the pumpkin pie out of the oven much like my mother used to do for my every birthday, (not a fan of b'day cake) the smell and sounds of crackling bacon before the croissant breakfast that no matter how full you are you still have another, the hands wrapped tightly about a hot chocolate as you have the best cheap date ever: driving around looking at Christmas lights, the shots of flour that seem to slowly cover you as small family members try to "help" with baking... it is the cliche movie moments, including the arguments that WILL happen.  It is my husband and my tradition of spending Christmas Morning snuggled up on the couch watching Love Actually and Christmas night with a few of our close friends who couldn't make it home for the holidays.

Yea, I'm a little excited.

I recently acquired this skirt and sweater.  I had to pair them together.  I really didn't have a choice after getting a taste of my "friends" styled 90's apparel, I was hooked.   So once more I pulled it out again with a little modern sprinkles .  I hope you get some nice flash backs...

Shh... it's a secret

That I am telling the whole world. . .
How is it still considered a secret you ask?  Deal with it "because I said so" and no I am not Diane Keaton.
So, here's the deal.  I'm finally going to tell you what happened!

I wrote a 50k novel in the 30 days of November (along with lots of other people, with the NaNoWriMo group, but they are not as awesome as me... cause it is me).  Long sleepless nights, endless staring at the computer wonder "WHAT am I DOING?!?", and wondering how truly terrible it will really be.

But alas, it is done and it is awesome if nothing else to be able to say, "I wrote a novel."

On to the reason you came:

Do you remember that shirt and pants that I wore for two days on a trip?

Well, here's it with the sweater.  Simple and easy and took up about the space of a small purse to pack: awesome!  ; P

Here's to wish you a happy weekend!
